Laura Neubauer is a Boston-based playwright and Part-time Lecturer at Northeastern University. She is playwright #7 with Boston Public Works, a theatre company that puts the power of production in the hands of the playwright. Neubauer’s work has been produced at the Salt Lake Shakespeare Company, Theatre O in Boulder, CO and the Nevada Conservatory Company as well as in numerous short-play festivals around the country. Her full-length play, The Chasm, was a semi-finalist for the 2009 David Mark Cohen National Playwriting Award. More recently her short play, Queen Bee, became a finalist for the Arizona Centennial Playwriting Competition and took home an award for best script at Wasatch Theatre Company's Page-to-Stage Festival in Salt Lake City.
